Anyone else an overthinker and overthinks their content sometimes...all of the time? 🙇🏾‍♀️ . It’s funny that the content I think about and worry about the most is the same content that ends up being well received. It got me thinking, are we overthinking our own content because we are lowkey self-sabotaging? Is it because it is easier to talk ourselves out of our own greatness? Sunday is slowly becoming my favourite day, Is that weird? 🤷🏾‍♀️ . Sundays can feel like a horrible day because some go to work on Monday. Monday can be a drag but I like to start my week feeling prepared. I have been making sure that I give myself permission to have a slow Sunday, I still get everything done, but the main focuses are preparation and looking after myself. Always ask yourself what it is that you need. Do you need to catch up on sleep? Do that! Do you need to eat a hearty home-cooked meal? Do that! Maybe you need some time alone? Do that for yourself 🧡 Do you have a favorite day? We are only 3 months into 2020 and it already feels like it’s a mad one 🥴 . Uncertainty creates way too much room for anxiety and constant worry. A few things that may help reduce those symptoms of anxiety: 🔸Write a list of your worries, the things causing you to feel anxious - the action of writing things down is not only therapeutic but it is a way of taking action! Come up with 2/3 solutions for your worries and carry them out 🔸Although the weather may be a bit hit or miss get some fresh air, even if it just a few deep breathes in your garden or a walk to the end of your road and back. I’m going to take my own advice and go for a little walk as I can fee myself spiraling a little and fresh air and a walk works wonders for my mental health 🧡 🔸 Play your favourite music or watch something funny, keep yourself entertained - just finished 100 Humans on Netflix and 10/10 would recommend some of the more lighter episodes during this time 😂 🔸Limit your time on social media, put your phone on silent/do not disturb. I shared a few tips on my stories yesterday to help those who want to do their shopping without the disappointment of not getting what they need. Never thought I would be talking about my job on here because it has never been relevant, but here we are 😂 . 🔸Find out if the opening times have changed before leaving your house, especially big/24 hour shops 🔸Ask either a manager or someone who is filling the shelves when their deliveries come in so you don’t make any wasted trips 🔸 Most shops restock during the night/early hours of the morning so if you can go when they open, I would say that there will most likely be a long line to get in because everyone wants to stock up and get what they came for 🔸Be patient, be understanding and just be a decent person to staff and those around you, everyone is stressed so try to think of others 🔸Bear in mind that retail is notoriously understaffed, there is no backup staff for pandemics/crisis so there will be long queues and barely any staff on the shop floor, it’s annoying and frustrating for both customers and staff (trust me) 🔸Shop locally if you can and don’t put up with shop keepers putting up their prices, it’s illegal and it’s disgusting!
