After sampling Afrocenchix Soothe oil, I was intrigued to try out some of their other hair care products. I was generously sent three of their products to try out and review.

To get the best results and a fair review I have used all three products in the space of a month.
Swish ~ When I first used the Shampoo I was a little weary as I was left with a squeaky clean feeling when I rinsed it out. I am aware that the squeaky clean feeling you get after using some shampoos could be due to the shampoo stripping your hair of its natural oils. However I did take into consideration that my hair didn’t feel dry, in fact, my hair felt really soft and I was left with that nice healthy fresh shine.
Smooth ~ I love the fresh scent that runs through all of the products. This moisturiser is thin in consistency which makes it really easy to detangle with and it didn’t leave a load of white residue when styling. I have tried this moisturiser on wet and dry hair, both gave me great results.
Seal ~ Fell in love with this oil mix the first time I used it. Describing the consistency of this oil is difficult because it doesn’t feel heavy in my hands, however when I apply it to my hair It literally feels like it’s locking in all the moisture. This is definitely my favourite product. A little goes a long way.
Initially, I wasn’t too sure about the Swish shampoo, then I started to pre-poo. I used a pre-wash mask one wash day and then let some oil sit in my hair another time before using the shampoo and I noticed that my hair still felt squeaky clean, but I was left with extra softness and moisture.
I have also noticed a reduced amount of itching. After using the Swish shampoo for some time now I have noticed that the itchy feeling only comes when I’m a day or two away from my wash day. I think the combination of all three products has played a big part in the reduced itching.
I have enjoyed playing around with the Smooth moisturiser. I used it along with the Seal oil to create my best twist out yet. I was presently surprised by the results, as twist outs don’t normally work for me. My hair tends to shrink up anytime I combine water and twists, this time I did a few single twists and flat twists to create the look above.
The Smooth moisturiser was moisturising and hydrating, it always left my hair feeling really soft. I liked the fact that it held my curls well without leaving me with a crunchy feeling, my curls were soft and defined, honestly can’t fault it. I mentioned that I’ve used this moisturiser on wet and dry hair. I actually prefer it on dry hair, but if you want to do twist outs and braid outs I would recommend using it on wet hair for extra definition and popping coils.
As you know I am definitely a fan of the Seal oil, ain’t no doubt about that! I just love how easy it is to use and it feels great in my hair. It especially seals my ends really well. This is going to be one of my holy grail products, I don’t think I’m going to need another oil after this one👐
Rating Out of 5
I would rate all three products a 4/5, but the Swish Shampoo and Seal Oil get a solid 5 from me! I liked them so much I’ve already ordered my next bottles of citrus scented goodness😍. Feeling a great sense of relief, I think I’ve actually found two products that will be my all time favourites.
