Self Love / Feel Good Playlist

I’m definitely on a self love journey. Music has always been a form of therapy for me, a way to escape. It was hard not to love music growing up in my house. The only time music wasn’t being played was when we were all sleeping. It was like having a bunch of DJs at home, everyone would take turns to share what they’ve been listening to.

I created this post because I know I’m not the only person who uses music as a form of therapy, escape or release. I want to share some of the songs that specifically mention self love, as well as some feel good songs.

*This is the point where you put your headphones on/in and vibe with me. (All the songs that I’ve mentioned and linked are either from Soundcloud or Spotify)

The whole A Seat at the Table album is a self care package, but Cranes in the Sky is the one.
This is more of a spoken word/interlude style track but it’s great.
Fell in love with this song after I saw a video of a father and his daughter singing along to this song. Found it on Facebook watch it here.

This was harder than I thought it would be, I already had some a few songs in mind, but when I was looking through my favourite songs I realised a lot of them (like 90%) where about love and relationships. I don’t know what it is about romantic, sexy songs that I love, but I just can’t get enough of them and that’s the majority of the songs that make me feel good, It’s weird, I know.

What do you listen to when you’re in need of some positive vibes?

I was asked to write a post for The Move Hub, a site for bloggers to share their work. I’m featured in their November edition and you can read my ‘I Love Your Natural Hair’ post here.
